Common questions

Before you book.

Which labs accept SwiftDoc pathology requests?

All major pathology labs across Australia accept requests from AHPRA-registered GPs, including Laverty Pathology, Dorevitch Pathology, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP), Western Diagnostic Pathology, and Queensland Health Pathology.

What blood tests can I get?

Our GPs can request a wide range of tests — full blood count, cholesterol, thyroid function, diabetes (HbA1c), STI screening, vitamin and mineral levels, liver and kidney function, hormone panels, and more.

How long do results take?

Most pathology results are returned within 24–72 hours depending on the test. Some specialised tests may take longer. Your results will be sent to both you and your GP.

Do I need a Medicare card?

A Medicare card is not required to use SwiftDoc. However, some bulk-billed pathology tests at labs may require a Medicare card — your lab will advise you at the time of your visit.
