Common questions
Before you book.
Are SwiftDoc medical certificates legally valid?
Yes. Medical certificates issued by SwiftDoc are issued by AHPRA-registered Australian GPs and are legally valid for use with employers, schools, and government agencies across Australia.
How quickly will I receive my certificate?
Your certificate is emailed to you as soon as the consultation is complete — usually within the hour. Same-day service is available, including evenings and weekends.
Can I get a backdated medical certificate?
Our doctors can only certify the period during which you were unwell as assessed at the time of consultation. Backdated certificates are issued at the clinical discretion of the doctor.
Will my employer accept a telehealth medical certificate?
Yes. Telehealth medical certificates issued by registered Australian GPs carry the same legal weight as those issued in a physical clinic. Most employers and schools accept them without question.
